President Obama Turns Down A Wedding Invitation And Plays Golf: The Perfect Storm of Right-Wing Hate Begins In 3 … 2 … 1 …

Today the world learned that President Obama was a big meanie to a wedding couple who wanted to have their special day at the Kaneohe Klipper Golf Course in Hawaii. The course where he plays when he’s visiting his home state advises anyone reserving the venue to make alternative plans or accept their event will be moved to the next day if the Commander in Chief has a round of golf on his schedule. The couple, Natalie Heimel and Edward Mallue were aware it might happen and invited the president to their wedding.

The president RSVPed his regrets, and then hours later the bride and groom learned they had to change their wedding plans because the president wanted to play 18 holes.

Before everyone rages at how inconsiderate President Obama is to this couple, who also happen to be officers in the U.S. Army, keep in mind Heimel and Mallue knew ahead of time that the president would be on his Christmas break and in Hawaii at that time, and he may want to play golf. It’s not like the president can go to any public course whenever he feels like it.

Of course the couple were upset, but they already had backup plans and they were married Sunday.

And when the president found out what happened, he called the couple himself to apologize and congratulate them.

It must be hard to be the leader of the free world and want to do something as ordinary as play a game of golf without taking heat from your constituents. Every other president played golf when they could and it never was the controversy that it has become with the current president. Republican Ike Eisenhower had an officer’s club built with a golf course. It’s called Camp David. For some reason though, what every other president did while on vacation before President Obama was perfectly okay with the American people. It’s only the current president creating scandal with every tee off.

Greetings, friend! I love comments and read every one of them.
